A limited number of older generation 15-inch MacBook Pros have been found to have a battery that can overheat and pose a fire safety hazard. Affected devices were sold from September 2015 to February 2017, and product eligibility is determined by serial number.

A small percentage of 13-inch MacBook Pro displays have been found to experience one or more of the following symptoms.

The affected devices were sold between October 2016 and February 2018.

The program applies to eligible MacBook Pro models and is valid for 5 years from the original retail sale of the device, or 3 years from the date the program began, whichever is longer.

A small percentage of keyboards in certain MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro models have been found to exhibit one or more of the following symptoms.

"Sticky" or lack of proper key response

The type of service will be determined after the keyboard has been inspected. In this case, it may be necessary to replace one or more keys or the entire keyboard.

Some iPhone X displays have been found to be experiencing touch issues due to a component failure in the display module. Affected devices may experience the following symptoms.


  • The display or part of the display does not respond or does not always respond to touch.
  • ·The display is responsive even without being touched.
The program covers affected iPhone X devices for 3 years from the date the device was first sold at retail.

A very small percentage of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro devices have been found to experience audio issues due to a component failure in the receiver module. Devices with this issue were released between October 2020 and April 2021.


If your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro receiver does not make a sound on calls, it may need service.

Apple or Apple Authorized Service Providers will provide free service to eligible devices.

This program is valid worldwide for iPhone 6 Plus devices and is valid for five years from the date the device was originally sold.

A small percentage of AirPods Pro headphones have been found to have audio issues. Affected devices were manufactured prior to October 2020.

These AirPods Pro headphones may exhibit some of the following symptoms.
  • There are clicks or crackles that are exacerbated in noisy environments, while exercising or talking on the phone.
  • Active Noise Cancellation does not work properly: low frequencies are lost or background sounds are amplified, such as from the street or from an airplane in flight.

AirPods Pro (left, right, or both) with a confirmed issue will receive a replacement. The issue does not affect the AirPods Pro earbud case. It cannot be replaced.

The program covers affected AirPods Pro for 3 years from the date the device was originally sold.

This program does not apply to other AirPods models.

Apple 3-prong plug adapters, primarily intended for use in the United Kingdom, Singapore and Hong Kong, have been found to break and present an electrical shock hazard if exposed metal parts are touched in very rare cases.

These power plug adapters shipped between 2003 and 2010 with Mac computers and select iOS devices, and were also included with the Apple World Travel Adapter Kit.

In rare cases, the battery in Beats Pill XL models has been found to overheat and present a fire hazard. This speaker model has been available worldwide since January 2014 at Beats, Apple and other retailers.

This program only applies to the Beats Pill XL model shown below. The Beats Pill XL came in five colors: black, white, pink, sky metallic, and titanium, as you can see on this web page.
